PHASE SEQ

Phase Seq is a browser-based drum, bass, and lead performance sequencer built around multiple independent playheads for evolving patterns, polyrhythms, and live remixing. It takes inspiration from classic hardware workflow and sequencing ideas found in machines like the Yamaha RS7000 and Elektron’s earlier grooveboxes and sequencers. Yamaha’s RS7000 was built around pattern, phrase, and real-time performance sequencing, while Elektron’s legacy machines are well known for their deeply performance-oriented step sequencing approach. 

The app combines punchy drum synthesis, a playable bass engine, and a flexible lead section with multiple character modes, plus real-time XY performance control for movement, filtering, and live variation. It is designed for quick idea generation, hands-on experimentation, and tracks that can shift from tight loops into evolving arrangements without breaking creative flow.
